Crowd-favourites and Michelin-recommended local cuisine

Now open on the lower ground floor of Jardine House in Central—below the original BaseHall—BaseHall 02 has gathered a selection of the city’s favourite restaurants and Michelin-recommended joints all into one expansive space.

Start off at the counter kiosks, which offer a casual dining experience for some of the city’s favourite eateries. From tonkatsu bar Porker and Wagyu tsukemen expert Mashi no Mashi to the go-to spot for modern Korean homestyle dishes, Moyo—to name but a few—you can now eat your way through various cuisines all in one place at BaseHall 02. Look out for the BaseHall-exclusive Artifact concept, which was created just for the sake of being in the food hall. Luxurious caviar-focused dishes can be had here. Finally, polish off a few sweet treats from Cookie Vission to finish off your meal.

Familiar names at the dice kiosks include local eateries such as Kamcentre Roast Goose, famous for its barbecue roasted goose; Ah Chun Shangdong Dumplings, a popular Lai Chi Kok joint serving the best dumplings in town with an age-old family recipe; and On Lee Noodle Shop, an iconic cha chaan teng from Shau Kei Wan.

If you’re looking for something more high-end for your meal, head over to the Michelin-recommended kiosks! Hot and Meen, the second Sichuan cuisine venture by the founders of Chilli Fagara; Chiuchow Delicacies, a restaurant from North Point famous for its authentic Chiuchow fare; and Both Street, a Taiwanese street food concept that specialises in handmade gua bao, are all represented here.

New features for an elevated dining experience

BaseHall 02 features new central counter kiosks to offer diners an elevated dining experience—literally! Sitting at these elevated counters allows diners to get the best view of the open kitchens where vendors are busying away preparing orders.

Additionally, a new retail space can be found in BaseHall 02, where local brands will display their products on a rotating basis. BaseHall 02 also boasts an event space, which will also be used as a pop-up space for local and international culinary talents to show off their cooking skills and share their stories with foodies in Hong Kong.

A sustainable F&B concept

BaseHall 02 also keeps sustainability in mind. Dix Design Studio designed the food hall space with the intention of reducing its carbon footprint by limiting the consumption of lighting and using upcycled elements in its design. Belu, the drinking water system installed in the hall, is also part of the environmentally-friendly concept, as the company is committed to being fully carbon neutral by offsetting all CO2 emissions in its operation.

What to look forward to in 2023

Fans of BaseHall will be thrilled to know BaseHall 02 will continue to grow throughout the new year! Artifact will be launching its speakeasy in February to serve rare spirits. A new supermarket will also be opened in BaseHall 02 further into 2023. Be sure to stop by from time to time to browse through a range of premium gourmet offerings!
