Ozone at the Ritz-Carlton

Located on the one-hundred-eighteenth floor of the ICC building, Ozone is recognised as the highest bar in the world—and as one of the best hotel bars in Hong Kong, too. A private lift will have you ascend into a bar of blue-hued, futuristic-looking interiors, with towering views of Hong Kong Island right across the harbour.

Most known for their delicately crafted cocktail list and small plates menu, with mixtures like the HK Skyline as signatures, Ozone will quite literally have you drinking in both the skyline and the irresistible tipples.

Overlooking the expanse of Victoria Harbour, Cruise at Hyatt Centric poses as a recurrent choice for both day and night excursions. With a quiet and relaxed ambience, the outdoor oasis offers a panoramic views of the Kowloon side, best enjoyed with a side of well-crafted cocktails and modern, Asian-inspired bar bites. Come for their “Sunset Sessions” from 3 pm to 7 pm to take advantage of discount prices on selected wines!

Popinjays at The Murray

A contemporary bar with a wraparound terrace, Popinjays boasts a staggering view of surrounding high-rise buildings in Central and Admiralty. With an inspired drink menu, Popinjays creates a lively atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the cockatoos, which the hotel bar is named after.

Bespoke creations like The Blue Macaw—a mixture of Montelobos mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, and yellow Chartreuse, infused with notes of fresh pineapple and lemon juice, served in a distinctive cup shaped like an actual blue macaw—are what make the bar so unique to its location and name.

Skye at The Park Lane

A notable mention goes to Skye at The Park Lane in Causeway Bay. This stunning rooftop hotel bar creates a picturesque alfresco experience for any of those looking to enjoy an unobstructed view of the harbour in the heart of the city. At night, the bar is cast in a blue-and-white illuminated hue that surrounds the sleek and modernistic décor.

Here, you can enjoy some delightful bar bites that pair well with their cocktails, such as the Skye fries, which are served alongside a pairing of Japanese sea urchin sauce and “Plantin” black truffle sauce. A unique feature to take note of is how its drinks list is modelled after a passport, with each page highlighting a concoction inspired by different countries and cities all over the world.

For an exotic trip, try their Guyana cocktail, a mix of house-blended plantation rum, papaya milk, coconut syrup, and a fusion of lime and dried apricots, inspired by the Caribbean Islands.

Red Sugar at Kerry Hotel

Located in Hung Hom, the hotel bar at Kerry Hotel houses eclectic designs and an outdoor terrace that steals the show, with a spacious deck that is cast out across the harbour and an urban vibe that can be enjoyed at any point during the day. Just like the atmosphere reflects, Red Sugar’s cocktail menu is tailored to explore a plethora of references to the old industrial times of Hong Kong.

With imaginative drinks such as A Golden Age—Beefeater gin infused with green Sichuan pepper, lychee liqueur and tomato and lemon juice—or Victoria’s Treasure, a tipple of Havana Club rum topped with liquorice syrup, Angostura bitters, and candied ginger. There is a drink for every bygone era imaginable!
