Calling all Hello Kitty fans! This summer, Citygate Outlets is collaborating with the AI metaverse MetaGaia to present the interactive exhibition “Summer Exploration: Hello Kitty Seven Wonders in MetaGaia.” From an immersive light show and themed photo ops to a treasure hunt with prices up for grabs, read on to find out what’s in store for you at the exhibition.
Visitors will be greeted by a six-metre-tall inflatable “Ruler Hello Kitty” figure at The Piazza on Level Four, where the mighty kitty will present you with a quest to help her retrieve the magical power she lost along her way to the new “MetaGaia” world.
Embark on your journey to the six-metre-tall Unicorn Castle installation at The Atrium on Level Two, where you can create your own virtual avatars on the MetaGaia app and explore the hidden territories within the castle using built-in AR filters. The Unicorn Castle comes to life with the multimedia “Hello Kitty’s Magical Music Lightshow” at regular intervals, so don’t miss out on this mini-“Symphony of Lights” show!
A weekly sticker giveaway will also take place at the Unicorn Castle, where visitors can gather all eight Hello-Kitty-themed stickers from castle staff. Designs range from the mighty “Ruler,” “Baker,” “Dreamcatcher,” “Spellcaster,” “Inventor,” “Treasure Hunter,” “Messenger,” and “Skyrider.” Collect them all and complete your magical set!
Collect gems in the Digital Treasure Hunt across the mall for a chance to win sought-after gifts! As you venture around Citygate Outlets, keep an eye out for Hello Kittys parading in four new looks: “Ruler Hello Kitty” at The Piazza, “Baker Hello Kitty,” “Spellcaster Hello Kitty,” and “Treasure Hunter Hello Kitty.” Collect the gems located close to them by scanning the AR triggers nearby! Just be sure you are registered as a Club CG member when you redeem your prize at the eye-catching “Sapphire Boutique.”
Once you have completed your quests, head on over to the “Peridot Mine” pop-up store and browse across over 200 Hello Kitty-themed goodies! Highlights include the newly launched “Seven Wonders in MetaGaia”-themed merchandise that ranges from adorable plushies to stylish umbrellas, as well as stationery, amongst others. DIY workshops are also hosted at the pop-up store, where Hello Kitty lovers can craft their own jewellery pieces or dreamcatchers. Alternatively, the “Brew for Charity: Apple Tea Workshop” organised by Amity is another great way to pass the time for grown-ups.
Complete your Hello Kitty experience and refuel after your quest with a themed menu at Banchan & Cook! Visitors will arrive to find the stylish Korean eatery transformed into a “Ruby Bakery,” helmed by none other than “Baker Hello Kitty,” of course. Special items include the “Baker Hello Kitty” fried chicken omurice with dragon fruit sauce, apple pie and croffle, and summer sweet apple milkshake.
