Love Lego? So much that you wish you could make a living out of building Lego replicas of, well, everything? Look no further—Legoland Discovery Centre Hong Kong has announced that it is seeking Hong Kong’s most dedicated Lego fan to fill a full-time position as their first-ever master model builder at its brand-new 30,000-square-foot attraction, opening early 2021 at K11 Musea!
If it all sounds almost too good to be true, well, it’s maybe time to pinch yourself. As part of a unique opportunity to turn your passion into an occupation—“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life,” as someone once said—the master builder for Legoland Discovery Centre will breathe new life into Lego sculptures by maintaining existing models, creating new ones, and delivering engaging workshops to share the joy of building!
You’ll also get to represent Lego at events and have the honour of showcasing your skills at Hong Kong’s first Legoland Discovery Centre. Of course, the selection process is not going to be easy—you will be expected to demonstrate your abilities at Brick Factor, a one-day building competition on Saturday, 21 November, where you’ll compete with other contestants to show off your assembling chops in front of judges. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply online here from now until Thursday, 29 October. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
For the uninitiated, Legoland Discovery Centre the ultimate port of call for Lego lovers from around the world, covering an indoor playground containing millions of bricks. Offering different themes throughout the creative spaces, interactive zones, rides, and creative builds keep children (and adults!) of all ages entertained. As Hong Kong’s first, the Legoland Discovery Centre is located in cultural-retail destination K11 Musea.
