With 25 years of weekly shōnen manga instalments and 1,000-plus anime episodes under its belt, One Piece is considered one of the leading franchises in Japanese entertainment. With the Asia tour of the “Great Era of Piracy” exhibition, the global phenomenon will make its first port of call in Hong Kong before setting sail for other destinations in the region.

Witness the adventures of the Straw Hats in an experiential, three-dimensional format with immersive installations featuring giant figures, interactive games, and pop-up merchandise shop selling exclusive One Piece collectables. “As the climactic finale for both the original One Piece manga series and its anime adaptation draws near, I hope the exhibition can as well refresh the One Piece experience for fans and prepare them for the epic conclusion,” says Hiroaki Shibata, producer at Toei Animation, on the “Great Era of Piracy” exhibition.

Powerful scenes from the One Piece series come to life across 16 thematic zones, depicting the Wano Country arc, the battle with the Big Mom crew on Whole Cake Island, the Impel Down arc, the Story of Skypiea arc, and more. 12 giant installations of popular One Piece characters will be on display for fans to admire from up close!

Similarly, visitors can access a selection of AR games and win prizes with a dedicated mobile app for the exhibition. Scan various QR codes in different thematic zones and earn points to redeem limited-edition merchandise to take home.

If you would rather browse for and buy your favourite branded items, prepare to go at it with all hands on deck at the pop-up store, where over 100 goodies are on offer, including exhibition-exclusive designs. Mirror’s Anson Kong has also created a special collectable in collaboration with his brand, Kyubi, just for the pop-up!

“The Great Era of Piracy” is on from now till 5 February 2023, while the pop-up shop will be open to visitors till 28 February 2023. Book your tickets here!
